Target Information
ALDH1A1은 알데하이드 탈수소효소 계열 단백질에 속하며, 알코올 대사의 주요 산화 경로에서 두 번째 효소로 작용합니다. 이 효소는 세포질 및 미토콘드리아 형태로 존재하며, 전기영동 이동도, 효소 동역학 및 세포 내 위치에 따라 구분됩니다. 대부분의 백인은 두 가지 주요 동종효소를 가지지만, 약 50%의 동양인은 미토콘드리아 동종효소가 결핍되어 있습니다. 이는 동양인에게서 급성 알코올 중독 빈도가 높은 것과 관련이 있을 수 있습니다.
