Product Specific Information
This antibody is predicted to react with mouse, rat, non-human primate, and rabbit based on sequence homology.
Intact IgG appears on a non-reducing gel as a ~150 kDa band and, upon reduction, generates a ~25 kDa light chain band and a ~50 kDa heavy chain.
Recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibodies are produced using in vitro expression systems developed by cloning specific antibody DNA sequences from immunoreactive rabbits. Individual clones are screened to select the best candidates for production.

Target Information
Protein: RPS6KB1 (p70 S6 Kinase)
Function: Serine/threonine kinase with two non-identical catalytic domains that phosphorylates several residues of the S6 ribosomal protein.
Localization: Predominantly cytoplasmic.
Biological Role: Essential in growth factor-regulated cell proliferation, cell motility, immune response, and tissue repair.
Acts downstream of phosphoinositide (PI) 3-kinase. Its main physiological target, the S6 ribosomal protein, is involved in upregulation of protein synthesis.
Clinical Relevance: DNA amplification and overexpression of p70 S6 Kinase are observed in some breast cancer cell lines.
