Preparation:
Produced in BALB/c × ICR F1 mice immunized with highly pure Recombinant Human Eotaxin-3 (CCL26).
Anti-Human Eotaxin-3 (CCL26)-specific antibody was purified from ascites fluid by Protein A affinity chromatography.
Target Information
Eotaxin-3 is a small cytokine belonging to the CC chemokine family, also known as CCL26 (Chemokine (C-C motif) ligand 26).
Chemokines regulate cell migration and tissue localization of specific cell types via their receptors.
Eotaxin-3 is chemotactic for eosinophils and basophils, acting through the CCR3 receptor.
It is expressed in tissues such as heart, lung, ovary, and in endothelial cells stimulated by interleukin-4.
The Eotaxin-3 gene is located on human chromosome 7.
Eotaxin-3 induces migration of eosinophils and basophils at approximately 10-fold higher concentration than eotaxin.
