Preparation:
Produced in BALB/c mice immunized with highly pure Recombinant Human Eotaxin-2 (CCL24). Anti-Human Eotaxin-2 (CCL24)-specific antibody was purified from ascites fluid by Protein A affinity chromatography.
Target Information
Eotaxin 2 belongs to the subfamily of small cytokine CC genes. Cytokines are secreted proteins involved in immunoregulatory and inflammatory processes. The CC cytokines are characterized by two adjacent cysteines. The cytokine encoded by this gene displays chemotactic activity on resting T lymphocytes, minimal activity on neutrophils, and no activity on monocytes and activated T lymphocytes. It is also a strong suppressor of colony formation by a multipotential hematopoietic progenitor cell line.
