ATF3 (Activating transcription factor 3)는 mammalian activation transcription factor/cAMP responsive element-binding (CREB) protein family에 속하는 전사 인자입니다. 이 단백질은 약 22 kDa의 분자량을 가지며, ATF binding element를 가진 프로모터에서 전사를 억제합니다.
ATF3 delta Zip 형태는 leucine zipper 단백질 이합체화 모티프가 결여된 단축형으로 DNA에 결합하지 않으며, 억제 인자들을 프로모터로부터 격리시켜 전사를 촉진할 수 있습니다.
