Product Specific Information
PA3-901A detects inositol 1,4,5-triphosphate receptor type-I (IP3R-I) from mouse, human, and rat tissues.
This antibody has been successfully used in Western blot procedures, detecting a ~240–260 kDa protein representing IP3R-I from rat and mouse brain extracts.
PA3-901A is a remanufactured lot of PA3-901, previously used in Western blot, immunoprecipitation, and immunohistochemistry.
The immunogen sequence is 100% conserved across human, mouse, and rat IP3R-I proteins. The corresponding peptide (Cat. # PEP-019) is available for neutralization and control experiments.
Target Information
IP3 Receptor 1 is an intracellular channel mediating calcium release from the endoplasmic reticulum following stimulation by inositol 1,4,5-trisphosphate.
It regulates epithelial secretion of electrolytes and fluid through interaction with AHCYL1 and plays a role in ER stress-induced apoptosis.
Cytoplasmic calcium released from the ER triggers apoptosis via CaM kinase II activation, leading to downstream apoptotic pathways.
