Product Specific Information

Recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibodies are produced using in vitro expression systems. The antibody DNA sequences from immunoreactive rabbits are cloned, and individual clones are screened to select the best candidates for production.
Advantages include:

  • High specificity and sensitivity
  • Lot-to-lot consistency
  • Animal origin-free formulation
  • Broad immunoreactivity due to the large rabbit immune repertoire

Target Information

The AGT gene encodes pre-angiotensinogen (angiotensinogen precursor), which is expressed in the liver and cleaved by renin in response to lowered blood pressure. The resulting angiotensin I is further processed by angiotensin converting enzyme (ACE) to produce angiotensin II, a key regulator of blood pressure.
Mutations in AGT are linked to essential hypertension, renal tubular dysgenesis, structural atrial fibrillation, and inflammatory bowel disease.

For Research Use Only. Not for use in diagnostic procedures. Not for resale without express authorization.
