Product Specific Information

Recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibodies are produced using in vitro expression systems developed by cloning specific antibody DNA sequences from immunoreactive rabbits. Individual clones are screened to select the best candidates for production.
Advantages include:

  • Better specificity and sensitivity
  • Lot-to-lot consistency
  • Animal origin-free formulation
  • Broader immunoreactivity due to larger rabbit immune repertoire

Target Information

The C/EBP (CCAAT/enhancer binding protein) family of transcription factors—alpha, beta, delta, and epsilon—are widely expressed proteins found in various tissues. These domains contain an evolutionarily conserved five-amino acid motif (RDM) conforming to the consensus sequence (I/V/L)KXEP.
C/EBP proteins play key roles in metabolic regulation in liver and adipose cells and act in cascades aiding adipocyte development. C/EBP beta isoforms (LAP*, LAP, and LIP) differ in translation initiation and gene regulation functions.
In neurological contexts, C/EBPs are involved in nerve growth factor mediation, synaptic plasticity, and inflammatory responses in Alzheimer's disease.
