Product Specific Information

The eBio5E10 monoclonal antibody reacts with human CD90 (Thy-1), a 25–35 kD receptor expressed on thymocytes, CD34+ prothymocytes, hematopoietic stem cells, neurons, and subsets of fetal liver, cord blood, and bone marrow cells.
It is reported for use in flow cytometric analysis and tested with HEL cells at 5 µL (0.125 µg)/test. A test corresponds to staining a sample in 100 µL volume, with cell numbers ranging from 10⁵ to 10⁸ cells/test.

Brilliant Violet™ 786 (BV786) is a tandem dye emitting at 786 nm, suitable for cytometers equipped with a violet (405 nm) laser.
Use Super Bright Complete Staining Buffer (SB-4401-42) or Brilliant Stain Buffer™ (00-4409-75) when using multiple polymer dye-conjugated antibodies to minimize non-specific interactions.

Target Information

CD90 (Thy-1) antigen is a GPI-linked glycoprotein of the Immunoglobulin superfamily. It is expressed in murine T cells, thymocytes, neural cells, Kupffer cells, and fibroblasts.
CD90 plays roles in cell-cell and cell-ligand interactions, including synaptogenesis in the brain. It serves as a marker for various stem cells and axonal processes of mature neurons.
Structural studies of CD90 contributed to defining the Immunoglobulin superfamily and the first biochemical characterization of a vertebrate GPI anchor.
Diseases associated with CD90 dysfunction include nasopharyngeal carcinoma and thymoma.
