Preparation:
Produced from sera of rabbits immunized with highly pure Recombinant Human gAcrp30/Adipolean Variant. The specific antibody was purified by affinity chromatography and subsequently biotinylated.

Sandwich ELISA:
To detect hAdipolean Variant by sandwich ELISA (100 µL/well antibody solution), use 0.25–1.0 µg/mL of this antibody. When used with PeproTech Polyclonal Anti-Human Adipolean Variant (500-P205) as a capture antibody, it enables detection of 0.2–0.4 ng/well of Recombinant hAdipolean Variant.

Western Blot:
For Western Blot analysis of Human Adipolean Variant, use 0.1–0.2 µg/mL. With compatible secondary reagents, the detection limit is 1.5–3.0 ng/lane under reducing or non-reducing conditions.

Target Information

The gAcrp30 variant is a naturally occurring globular protein derived from adiponectin. Adiponectin is secreted exclusively by adipocytes and represents up to 0.05% of total serum protein. Like adiponectin, Acrp30 decreases hyperglycemia and reverses insulin resistance. It also promotes fat loss by signaling muscle to absorb and oxidize free fatty acids (FFAs).
The receptors for adiponectin and gAcrp30 are AdipoR1 and AdipoR2, with AdipoR2 predominantly expressed in the liver. The human gAcrp30/Adipolean variant is an 18.1 kDa protein containing 14 additional amino acids at the N-terminus.
