Recombinant rabbit Superclonal™ antibodies are unique offerings from Thermo Fisher Scientific. They combine multiple recombinant monoclonal antibodies, providing the sensitivity of polyclonal antibodies with the specificity and reproducibility of monoclonal antibodies.

These antibodies recognize multiple epitopes on the target, offering higher detection sensitivity for low-abundance targets. Each lot contains a consistent, defined mixture of light and heavy chains, eliminating biological variability seen in traditional polyclonal antibody production.

Target Information

Ribosomes catalyze protein synthesis and consist of a small 40S and a large 60S subunit, together containing 4 RNA species and about 80 distinct proteins. The encoded protein is a component of the 40S subunit and belongs to the S6E family of ribosomal proteins.

It serves as a major substrate for ribosomal protein kinases, with phosphorylation occurring at multiple C-terminal serine residues in response to growth factors, tumor-promoting agents, and mitogens. Dephosphorylation occurs during growth arrest. This protein may regulate cell growth and proliferation by selectively translating specific classes of mRNA. Multiple processed pseudogenes of this gene exist throughout the genome.
