Recombinant rabbit Superclonal™ antibodies are unique offerings from Thermo Fisher Scientific. They consist of multiple different recombinant monoclonal antibodies, combining the sensitivity of polyclonal antibodies with the specificity and consistency of monoclonal antibodies.
These antibodies recognize multiple epitope sites on a target, offering higher detection sensitivity for low-abundance targets while maintaining reproducibility between lots.
Formerly referred to as “Recombinant polyclonal antibody”, this product is now rebranded as “Recombinant Superclonal™ antibody” with identical performance.

Target Information

E-Cadherin (epithelial cadherin) is a calcium-dependent cell–cell adhesion glycoprotein belonging to the cadherin superfamily. It comprises five extracellular cadherin repeats, a transmembrane region, and a conserved cytoplasmic domain.
Mutations in the CDH1 gene (chromosome 16) are associated with gastric, breast, colorectal, thyroid, and ovarian cancers. Loss of E-cadherin function contributes to cancer progression through enhanced proliferation, invasion, and metastasis.
E-cadherin plays a key role in maintaining tissue architecture and integrity, and its reduction or loss correlates with increased tumor invasiveness.
