Recombinant rabbit Superclonal™ antibodies are unique offerings from Thermo Fisher Scientific. They combine multiple recombinant monoclonal antibodies, offering the sensitivity of polyclonal antibodies and the specificity of monoclonal antibodies, with the consistency of recombinant production.
Each lot contains a known mixture of light and heavy chains, ensuring reproducibility and eliminating biological variability typical of polyclonal antibody production.

Target Information

PDGFRA is a cell surface receptor tyrosine kinase binding platelet-derived growth factors, which are mitogens for mesenchymal-origin cells. The receptor can form homodimers or heterodimers with PDGFRB, depending on the bound growth factor.
Studies in knockout mice show that the alpha form is crucial for kidney development, as heterozygous mice display defective kidney phenotypes.
