Product Specific Information

Recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibodies are produced using in vitro expression systems. The antibody DNA sequences from immunoreactive rabbits are cloned and expressed, and individual clones are screened to select the best candidates for production.
Advantages include:

  • High specificity and sensitivity
  • Lot-to-lot consistency
  • Animal origin-free formulation
  • Broader immunoreactivity due to the larger rabbit immune repertoire

Target Information

Apoptosis is associated with various diseases and developmental processes. The p53 tumor-suppressor protein induces apoptosis through transcriptional activation of genes such as p53R2, p53AIP1, and PUMA.
Noxa, a p53 target gene, encodes a BH3-only proapoptotic protein. Both Noxa and PUMA are transcriptional targets of p53. X-ray irradiation increases p53-dependent Noxa mRNA and protein levels.
Ectopic expression of Noxa interacts with anti-apoptotic Bcl-2 family members, activating caspase-9 and inducing apoptosis via mitochondrial localization. Elevated levels of p53 and Noxa are associated with impaired tumor development.
