Product Specific Information

Recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibodies are produced using in vitro expression systems. The expression systems are developed by cloning specific antibody DNA sequences from immunoreactive rabbits, followed by screening of individual clones to select optimal candidates for production.
Advantages include:

  • Better specificity and sensitivity
  • Lot-to-lot consistency
  • Animal origin-free formulations
  • Broader immunoreactivity due to larger rabbit immune repertoire

Target Information

The G6PD gene encodes glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase, a cytosolic enzyme that produces NADPH — a key electron donor for defense against oxidizing agents and reductive biosynthesis.
This X-linked housekeeping gene shows high genetic diversity, with many variants caused by missense mutations leading to differing enzyme activity and clinical symptoms such as neonatal jaundice, acute hemolysis, or chronic non-spherocytic hemolytic anemia.
Two transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been identified.

For Research Use Only. Not for use in diagnostic procedures. Not for resale without express authorization.
