• Reconstitute with 0.5 mL of distilled water.
• For long-term storage, the addition of 0.09% sodium azide is recommended.
• Prior to reconstitution, store at 4°C. After reconstitution, store undiluted at -20°C, avoiding freeze/thaw cycles.
• This antibody has been cross-absorbed with immobilized human collagen types I, IV, and V, and with human blood plasma proteins.
• Rabbit anti-human collagen III antibody recognizes human collagen type III.

Target Information

Collagen III is a fibrillar collagen found in extensible connective tissues such as skin, lung, and the vascular system, often in association with type I collagen.
Mutations in this gene are associated with Ehlers-Danlos syndrome type IV and with aortic and arterial aneurysms.
Although alternate transcripts have been detected, they result from mutations that alter splicing and often lead to the exclusion of multiple exons.
