Reconstitute with 0.5 mL distilled water.
PA1-85324 detects Collagen I, II, III, IV, and V in human samples.
Reactivity with collagens I and II is ~70% as strong as that with III–V.
Reactivity with human fibronectin, albumin, and immunoglobulins is <0.5%.

Rabbit anti-human collagen I/II/III/IV/V antibody recognizes multiple collagen types and shows the following reactivities in ELISA with both native and denatured human collagen types:

• I & III: 100%
• IV & V: 90%
• II: 80%
• Fibronectin, albumin, and immunoglobulins: <0.5%

Target Information

Collagens are highly conserved and characterized by an uninterrupted Glycine-X-Y triplet repeat essential for triple helical structure.
Generating type-specific antibodies to collagens is challenging due to their conserved nature.
Type-specific antibodies depend on non-denatured three-dimensional epitopes, allowing preservation of native protein conformation.

Type I collagen (95 kDa) is found in bone, cornea, skin, and tendon.
Mutations in the collagen 1 gene are associated with osteogenesis imperfecta, Ehlers-Danlos syndrome, and idiopathic osteoporosis.
Chromosomal translocations involving chromosomes 17 and 22 can lead to dermatofibrosarcoma protuberans via unregulated PDGF expression.
Two transcripts are known due to alternate polyadenylation signals.
