Target Information
NTRK3 (TRKC) belongs to the neurotrophic factor family central to the development and maintenance of the mammalian nervous system. Known substrates for the TRK receptors include SHC, PI-3 kinase, and PLCG1. Isoforms show different signaling properties. The protein is widely expressed, mainly in nervous tissue, with isoform B more abundant in adult brain than fetal brain. TRKC undergoes ligand-mediated auto-phosphorylation and contains 2 immunoglobulin-like C2-type domains and 2 leucine-rich (LRR) repeats.
