Product Specific Information
- This antibody is predicted to react with mouse and rat based on sequence homology.
- Heat-mediated antigen retrieval is recommended prior to staining, using a 10 mM citrate buffer (pH 6.0) for 10 minutes followed by cooling at room temperature for 20 minutes.
- Following antigen retrieval, incubate samples with primary antibody for 10 minutes at room temperature.
- Suggested positive control: breast carcinoma.
Target Information
JUP (junction plakoglobin) is a major cytoplasmic protein and the only known constituent common to submembranous plaques of both desmosomes and intermediate junctions.
This protein forms distinct complexes with cadherins and desmosomal cadherins and is a member of the catenin family, characterized by the armadillo repeat motif.
