Product Specific Information
Heat-mediated antigen retrieval is recommended prior to staining, using a 10 mM citrate buffer (pH 6.0) for 10 minutes, followed by cooling at room temperature for 20 minutes.
After antigen retrieval, incubate samples with primary antibody for 30 minutes at room temperature.
A suggested positive control is tonsil tissue.
Target Information
CD105 (Endoglin) is a Type I transmembrane protein, highly expressed on human vascular endothelial cells.
It forms an O- and N-glycosylated homodimer. Up-regulation of endoglin expression has been observed in tumor vasculature and proliferating cells, indicating its role as a proliferation-associated endothelial marker.
CD105 binds to TGF-β1 and TGF-β3 with high affinity, but not to TGF-β2.
