Product Specific Information
The 6H6 monoclonal antibody reacts with human CD123, the alpha chain of the IL-3 receptor. This 60–70 kDa transmembrane protein binds IL-3 with low affinity alone and with high affinity when associated with CD131 (common beta chain).
CD123 is expressed by myeloid precursors, macrophages, dendritic cells, mast cells, basophils, and megakaryocytes.
Applications Reported: Flow cytometric analysis
Applications Tested: Pre-titrated and tested by flow cytometric analysis of normal human peripheral blood cells. Use at 5 µL (0.25 µg) per test (100 µL final volume). Cell number range: 10⁵–10⁸ cells/test.
Fluorophore Information:
eFluor® 450 is an alternative to Pacific Blue®. Excitation at 405 nm, emission at 445 nm, detected by Violet laser. Ensure instrument compatibility.
Filtered post-manufacture (0.2 µm).
Target Information
IL-3Ra (Interleukin-3 receptor subunit alpha) belongs to the type I cytokine receptor family and forms a heterodimer with the common beta (CDw131) subunit. It mediates IL-3 signal transduction and receptor activation.
IL-3Ra is overexpressed in acute myeloid leukemia (AML) blasts compared with normal hematopoietic cells, making it a potential therapeutic target.
