Description:
This WD1928 antibody recognizes Eomesodermin (Eomes), also known as T-box brain 2 (TBR2). Eomes is a T-box transcription factor highly homologous to T-bet, essential during trophoblast development and gastrulation in most vertebrates. In the immune system, Eomes controls differentiation of effector and memory CD8+ T cells and natural killer (NK) cells. Its expression correlates with high CD122 expression, the common beta-chain of IL-2R and IL-15R.

Reported for use in immunohistochemical staining of formalin-fixed paraffin-embedded tissue sections.
Applications Tested:
Tested by IHC of formalin-fixed paraffin-embedded human tissue using low or high pH antigen retrieval. Recommended concentration ≤ 5 µg/mL. Titrate for optimal performance.
Purity: Greater than 90%, determined by SDS-PAGE.
Aggregation: Less than 10%, determined by HPLC.
Filtration: 0.2 µm post-manufacturing filtered.
Target Information
TBR2 is a member of the conserved T-box protein family, encoding transcription factors involved in developmental regulation. It is essential during trophoblast development and gastrulation, and plays a critical role in brain development, particularly in the specification and proliferation of intermediate progenitor cells in the cerebral cortex.
