Product Specific Information
The antibody was affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum by affinity chromatography using epitope-specific immunogen. Purity is >95% (by SDS-PAGE).
Target Information
SLC2A13 (solute carrier family 2, facilitated glucose transporter member 13) is a 648 amino acid multi-pass membrane protein belonging to the major facilitator superfamily and sugar transporter family.
It functions as a H⁺-myo-inositol cotransporter and can transport related stereoisomers.
Human SLC2A13 shares 90% identity with its rat homolog. The rat sequence includes 12 transmembrane domains, 3 N-glycosylation sites, motifs for glucose transport activity, and ER retention and dileucine internalization signals in the N-terminal region.
SLC2A13 specifically transports myoinositol but not hexoses, and lowering extracellular pH from 7.0 to 5.0 markedly increases transport activity.
