Product Specific Information
- Detects endogenous AKT2 protein at ~60 kDa.
- No cross-reactivity with AKT1 or AKT3 phosphorylated at corresponding residues.
- Purity >95% by SDS-PAGE.
Target Information
AKT2 is a phosphoinositide-dependent serine/threonine protein kinase enriched in insulin-responsive tissues and involved in metabolic actions of insulin. It mediates multiple cellular signaling pathways downstream of growth factor receptors activating PI3K. AKT2 is known to be amplified and overexpressed in certain human cancers.
