Preparation:
This antibody was obtained from a rabbit immunized with purified, recombinant Human c-Met (Met1–Thr932) and conjugated with PE under optimum conditions. The unreacted PE was removed.
Storage:
This antibody can be stored at 2°C–8°C for twelve months without detectable loss of activity. Protect from prolonged exposure to light. Do not freeze.
Target Information
MET (c-Met) is a receptor-like tyrosine kinase whose dysregulation is associated with various human malignancies. Upon ligand activation, MET interacts with PI3-kinase subunit PIK3R1, PLCG1, SRC, GRB2, and STAT3, leading to activation of signaling cascades such as RAS-ERK, PI3K-AKT, and PLCγ-PKC.
MET plays roles in embryonic development (gastrulation, muscle and neuron development, angiogenesis, kidney formation) and in adults (wound healing, organ regeneration, tissue remodeling). Dysregulation of MET is linked to cancers including gastric, renal, and breast cancer, making it a key target for cancer therapeutics and diagnostics.
