This antibody detects endogenous levels of MEK1 only when phosphorylated at Thr286.
Target Information
MAP2K1 (MEK1) kinase is a dual-specificity protein kinase functioning in the MAPK signaling cascade, regulating cell growth and differentiation. It is activated by various growth factors, cytokines, and calcium influx. MEK1 activation occurs via phosphorylation at Ser218 and Ser222 by Raf1. It plays roles in stress response, apoptosis, and proliferation signaling. Mutations in MAP2K1 are associated with cardiofaciocutaneous syndrome.
