This antibody detects endogenous levels of MSK1 only when phosphorylated at Ser360.
Target Information
RPS6KA5 (MSK1) is a serine/threonine protein kinase essential for regulating various cellular processes. It mediates phosphorylation of transcription factors such as CREB1 and ATF1 under mitogenic or stress stimuli (e.g., UV-C, EGF, anisomycin). MSK1 controls RELA transcriptional activity in response to TNF and glucocorticoid signaling, associating with NR3C1 to repress inflammatory gene expression. It is required for RELA phosphorylation at Ser-276 under oxidative stress and for STAT3 Ser-727 phosphorylation in erythropoietin-stimulated cells, contributing to transcriptional regulation.
