Product Specific Information
The LN3 monoclonal antibody reacts with human MHC class II molecule HLA-DR, expressed on antigen-presenting cells (APCs) such as B cells, monocytes, macrophages, dendritic cells, and activated T cells.
HLA-DR plays a crucial role in peptide presentation to CD4+ T lymphocytes.

Target Information
HLA-DR is a transmembrane glycoprotein composed of a 36 kDa alpha chain (DRA) and a 27 kDa beta chain (DRB).
- The alpha chain gene (DRA) has 5 exons encoding leader peptide, extracellular domains, transmembrane domain, and cytoplasmic tail.
- DRA acts as the sole alpha chain for DRB1, DRB3, DRB4, and DRB5.
- DRB1 alleles determine peptide binding specificity and are used for transplantation typing.
- Expressed primarily on APCs: B lymphocytes, monocytes, macrophages, thymic epithelial cells, and activated T lymphocytes.
- MHC class II molecules (DR, DQ, DP) bind processed peptides and present them to T-helper cells, initiating immune responses.
- HLA and MHC antibodies are key tools in Immunopeptidomics, enabling neoantigen identification via LC-MS/MS.
