• Immunohistochemistry (PFA fixed): Incubate antibody for 30 min at room temperature.
• Staining of formalin-fixed tissues requires heating tissue sections in 10 mM Tris with 1 mM EDTA, pH 9.0, for 45 min at 95°C, followed by cooling at room temperature for 20 min.

Target Information

Granzyme B is a member of the granzyme serine protease family found in the granules of cytotoxic T cells and NK cells. It is also known as CGL1 (cathepsin G-like-1) and CTLA-1 (cytotoxic T lymphocyte-associated serine esterase 1). Granzyme B plays a key role in inducing apoptosis in target cells via caspase-3 activation and mitochondrial pathways. It interacts with the mannose 6-phosphate receptor, functioning as a death receptor during cytotoxic T cell-induced apoptosis. Granzymes are neutral serine proteases stored in specialized lytic granules of CTLs and NK cells. Multiple granzymes (A–G) have been cloned from mouse CTLs and NK cells, while fewer have been identified in humans.
