Product Specific Information

The 2H7 monoclonal antibody reacts with human CD20, a 33–36 kDa transmembrane protein expressed on developing and mature B cells but not plasma cells. CD20 may play a role in B-cell activation.

Applications Reported:
Flow cytometric analysis and immunohistochemical staining of frozen tissue sections.

Applications Tested:
Tested by flow cytometric analysis of normal human peripheral blood cells. Recommended ≤1 µg/test (100 µL final volume). Cell number range: 10⁵–10⁸ cells/test. Antibody titration recommended for optimal performance.

Target Information

CD20 is a non-glycosylated surface phosphoprotein (33–37 kDa) expressed on mature and malignant B cells, some T lymphocytes, and follicular dendritic cells. It regulates calcium conductance, cell cycle progression, and B-cell proliferation. CD20 is associated with lipid rafts and remains on the cell surface after antibody treatment, making it an effective target for B-cell depletion therapies.

Diseases associated with CD20 dysfunction include Ms4a1-related common variable immune deficiency.
