Product Specific Information
The antibody was affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum by affinity chromatography using an epitope-specific immunogen. The purity is greater than 95% as determined by SDS-PAGE.
Target Information
MAP4K1 (also known as HPK1, Hematopoietic progenitor kinase 1) is a hematopoietic cell-restricted member of the Ste20 serine/threonine kinase superfamily. It acts as a tissue-specific upstream activator of the MEKK/JNK/SAPK signaling pathway. HPK1 modulates T cell receptor (TCR) signaling and proliferation by phosphorylating the adaptor protein SLP-76. JNKs/SAPKs play key roles in stress responses and hematopoietic differentiation. HPK1 is expressed mainly in hematopoietic progenitor cells and activates JNK1 specifically, enhancing AP-1-mediated transcription. It binds and phosphorylates MEKK1 directly but does not interact with small GTPases Rac1 or Cdc42, distinguishing it from PAK65.
