Product Specific Information
Antibody detects endogenous levels of NF-kB p65 only when phosphorylated at Threonine 254.
Target Information
Nuclear factor kB p65 (NF-kB p65) is encoded by the RELA gene and located on chromosome 11 in humans. NF-kB p65 (RelA) belongs to the Rel family of proteins and forms a heterodimer with p50 or p52 subunits.
Upon TNFα receptor activation, IKK phosphorylates IκB, leading to its proteasomal degradation. NF-kB p65 plays a key role in transcription of the immunoglobulin κ gene in mature B-lymphoid cells.
