Product Specific Information
This antibody detects endogenous levels of NF-κB p65 only when phosphorylated at Serine 311.
Target Information
Nuclear factor kB p65 (NF-κB p65) is encoded by the RELA gene and is located on chromosome 11 in humans. NF-κB p65, also known as RelA, belongs to the Rel family of proteins and forms a heterodimer with p50 or p52 subunits to constitute the NF-κB complex. Upon TNFα binding to its receptor, IKK is phosphorylated, leading to phosphorylation and proteasomal degradation of IκB, thereby activating NF-κB signaling. NF-κB p65 plays a key role in transcriptional regulation of the immunoglobulin κ gene in mature B-lymphoid cells.
