Product Specific Information
This antibody detects endogenous levels of NF-κB p65 only when phosphorylated at Serine 281.
Target Information
Nuclear factor kB p65 (NF-κB p65) is encoded by the RELA gene located on chromosome 11 in humans. NF-κB p65, also known as RelA, belongs to the Rel family of transcription factors and forms heterodimers with subunits such as p50 or p52. Upon TNFα binding to its receptor, IKK is activated and phosphorylates IκB, leading to its proteasomal degradation. NF-κB p65 plays a crucial role in transcriptional regulation of the immunoglobulin κ (kappa) gene in mature B-lymphoid cells.
