Product Specific Information

The HIS51 monoclonal antibody reacts with rat CD90 and cross-reacts with mouse CD90.1, a GPI-linked membrane molecule.
In rats, CD90 is expressed by hematopoietic stem cells, immature B cells, thymocytes, neurons, inflamed endothelia, and other cell types.
In CD90.1-expressing mouse strains (PL and AKR), CD90 is expressed by early hematopoietic cells, thymocytes, and mature T cells.

Applications Reported: Flow cytometric analysis and immunohistochemical staining of frozen tissue sections.
Applications Tested: Verified by flow cytometric analysis of rat thymocyte and splenocyte suspensions.
Recommended use ≤ 0.125 µg/test (100 µL final volume). Cell number can vary from 10⁵–10⁸ cells/test and should be empirically determined.

Target Information

CD90 (Thy-1) is a GPI-linked glycoprotein and a member of the immunoglobulin superfamily.
It is expressed in murine T cells, thymocytes, neural cells, Kupffer cells, and fibroblasts.
Thy-1 may play a role in cell-cell or cell-ligand interactions during synaptogenesis and other neural events.
