Product Specific Information
For reconstitution, add 100 µL distilled water to achieve a final antibody concentration of about 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments, perform an additional desalting step using Zeba Spin Desalting Columns (7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).
Target Information
Histone deacetylase 4 (HDAC4) deacetylates lysine residues on core histones (H2A, H2B, H3, and H4), contributing to epigenetic repression and transcriptional regulation.
HDAC4 is involved in:
- Cell cycle progression and developmental processes
- Muscle maturation via interaction with MEF2A, MEF2C, and MEF2D
- MTA1-mediated epigenetic regulation of ESR1 expression in breast cancer
Mutations in HDAC4 are associated with Brachydactyly-mental retardation syndrome (BDMR).
