Product Specific Information
This antibody was affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum by epitope-specific affinity chromatography. The purity is greater than 95% as determined by SDS-PAGE.
Target Information
A small number of complex I subunits are products of mitochondrial genes (subunits 1–7), while the remainder are nuclear encoded and imported from the cytoplasm.
NADH dehydrogenase subunit 1 (ND1) binds rotenone and its analogs and may be involved in electron transfer to ubiquinone.
Mutations in the ND1 gene have been associated with several disorders, including Leber hereditary optic neuropathy, Alzheimer’s disease, and Parkinson’s disease.
