Product Specific Information
This antibody was affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum using an epitope-specific immunogen. The purity is greater than 95% as determined by SDS-PAGE.
Target Information
PCAF (histone acetyltransferase KAT2B) acts as a histone acetyltransferase (HAT) to promote transcriptional activation. It acetylates histones H3 and H4, as well as non-histone proteins such as ACLY, PLK4, and TBX5. PCAF inhibits cell-cycle progression, counteracts adenoviral E1A activity, and functions as a circadian transcriptional coactivator enhancing NPAS2-ARNTL/BMAL1 and CLOCK-ARNTL/BMAL1 heterodimers. It plays roles in heart and limb development through TBX5 acetylation and regulation of its nucleocytoplasmic shuttling.
