Target Information
The DYKDDDDK tag (FLAG tag) is an eight–amino acid peptide (Asp–Tyr–Lys–Asp–Asp–Asp–Asp–Lys) commonly used to facilitate protein purification, detection, and localization.
It can be fused to the N- or C-terminus of a protein, allowing easy identification and isolation using anti-FLAG antibodies.
Widely used in molecular biology and biochemistry, the FLAG tag is optimized for hydrophilicity, minimizing protein denaturation or inactivation.
