Target Information

Histone H3 is a DNA-binding protein found in the chromatin of all eukaryotic cells. Along with other core histones, it forms nucleosomes that package and organize DNA. Histone H3 plays essential roles in transcription regulation, DNA repair, replication, and chromosomal stability. The N-terminal tail of H3 undergoes various post-translational modifications (methylation, acetylation, phosphorylation) that influence chromatin structure and gene expression.
