Product Specific Information
The 17A2 monoclonal antibody reacts with the mouse CD3 complex. CD3 subunits gamma, delta, and epsilon are required for proper assembly, trafficking, and surface expression of the TCR complex. CD3 is expressed by thymocytes in a developmentally regulated manner and by all mature T cells. Binding of 17A2 to CD3 initiates intracellular signaling pathways resulting in cellular activation and proliferation.
Applications Reported: Flow cytometric analysis.
Applications Tested: Flow cytometric analysis of mouse splenocytes at ≤0.5 µg/test (100 µL final volume).
Cell number can range from 10⁵ to 10⁸ cells/test. Antibody titration recommended for optimal performance.
Excitation: 633–647 nm
Emission: 660 nm
Laser: Red Laser
Filtration: 0.2 µm post-manufacturing filtered.
Target Information
The CD3 subunit complex is crucial for transducing antigen-recognition signals into T cells and regulating surface expression of the TCR complex. CD3 subunits (gamma, delta, epsilon, zeta) are members of the immunoglobulin superfamily encoded by genes on human chromosome 11. They associate with cytoplasmic signal transduction molecules via tyrosine-based motifs. CD3 is expressed on most T lymphocytes and thymocytes but not on B or NK cells. Defects in CD3 genes are associated with CD3 immunodeficiency.
