In Western blot applications, this antibody detects a band at approximately 220 kDa.
A suggested positive control is K562 cell lysate.

Target Information
ACINUS (apoptotic chromatin condensation inducer in the nucleus) is an inducer of chromatin condensation.
It is cleaved by caspase-3 and another unknown protease, generating the active peptide p17, which induces chromatin condensation in vitro.
ACINUS is ubiquitously expressed, and three different spliced forms have been identified in human and mouse.
