Product Specific Information

1 µg/mL of MA5-45392 was sufficient for detection of Cav1.3 in 10 µg of rat brain lysate by colorimetric immunoblot analysis using Goat anti-mouse IgG:HRP as the secondary antibody. Detects approximately 250 kDa. No cross-reactivity against Cav1.2.

Target Information

CACNA1D (also known as PASNA, SANDD, or Cav1.3) encodes the alpha-1D subunit of voltage-dependent calcium channels. These channels mediate calcium ion entry into excitable cells and regulate processes such as muscle contraction, hormone or neurotransmitter release, and gene expression. The alpha-1 subunit forms the channel pore, while beta, alpha-2/delta, and gamma subunits modulate channel activity. Multiple transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been identified for this gene.
