Recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibodies are produced using in vitro expression systems. These systems clone specific antibody DNA sequences from immunoreactive rabbits, followed by screening to select the best candidates for production.

Target Information
High-density lipoproteins (HDLs) are essential in cholesterol metabolism, with plasma concentrations inversely correlated with atherosclerosis risk. SR-BI binds HDLs and mediates selective uptake of HDL cholesteryl ester. It is primarily expressed in liver and steroidogenic tissues and facilitates cholesterol uptake through a distinct mechanism. In mice, SR-BI influences plasma lipoprotein cholesterol levels and cholesterol accumulation in the adrenal gland.
