Product Specific Information
Recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibodies are produced using in vitro expression systems. The expression systems are developed by cloning specific antibody DNA sequences from immunoreactive rabbits. Individual clones are screened to select the best candidates for production.
Advantages include:
- Better specificity and sensitivity
- Lot-to-lot consistency
- Animal origin-free formulations
- Broader immunoreactivity to diverse targets due to larger rabbit immune repertoire
Target Information
Rb is a tumor suppressor nuclear phosphoprotein capable of binding to DNA. It is phosphorylated on serine and threonine residues and forms complexes with SV40 large T antigen, adenovirus E1A, and human papilloma virus-16 E. Rb protein may act by regulating transcription, and loss of its function leads to uncontrolled cell growth. Aberrations in the RB gene have been implicated in cancers of breast, colon, prostate, kidney, nasopharynx, and leukemia.
For Research Use Only. Not for use in diagnostic procedures. Not for resale without express authorization.
