Product Specific Information
Recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibodies are produced using in vitro expression systems. These systems are developed by cloning specific antibody DNA sequences from immunoreactive rabbits. Individual clones are screened to select the best candidates for production.

Target Information
Prohibitin is an evolutionarily conserved gene ubiquitously expressed in cells. It is thought to act as a negative regulator of cell proliferation and may function as a tumor suppressor. Mutations in PHB have been associated with sporadic breast cancer. Prohibitin is expressed as two transcripts with varying 3′ untranslated region lengths; the longer transcript is more abundant in proliferating tissues and may act as a trans-acting regulatory RNA.
