PA1-773 detects recombinant rat and mouse Rab3D.
This antibody does not detect Rab3A, Rab3B, or Rab3C.

• Successfully used in Western blot procedures.
• Detects an approximately 29 kDa protein representing recombinant mouse Rab3D.
• Immunogen is a synthetic peptide corresponding to residues M(1)ASASEPPASPRDAADQN(18) of rat RAB3D, fully conserved in mouse.
• The immunizing peptide (Cat. # PEP-144) is available for neutralization and control experiments.

Target Information

Rab proteins are low-molecular-weight GTP-binding proteins forming the largest branch of the Ras superfamily of GTPases.
They are located on the cytoplasmic face of organelles and vesicles and are involved in intracellular membrane fusion reactions.

Three membrane proteins—SNAP-25, synaptobrevin, and syntaxin—form the core of a membrane fusion complex interacting with NSF and α-SNAP.
Rab proteins, together with Munc-18, mediate vesicle docking and fusion.
Over 40 Rab proteins have been described in mammals.
Rab3D is expressed in tissues including tongue, pancreas, and liver.
