Product Specific Information
PA1-770 detects Rab3A from canine, hamster, human, mouse, and rat tissues and cells.
It has been successfully used in Western blot and immunoprecipitation procedures.
By Western blot, this antibody detects an approximately 21 kDa protein representing Rab3A from Hepa1 cell lysate.
The immunogen is a synthetic peptide corresponding to residues M(1) A S A T D S R Y G Q K E S S D Q N(18) C of human RAB3A, a sequence completely conserved between human, mouse, and rat Rab3A.
The immunizing peptide (Cat. # PEP-098) is available for neutralization and control experiments.
Recombinant human Rab3A protein (Cat # RP-770) can be purchased for control experiments in Western blot applications.
Target Information
Rab proteins belong to the Ras small GTPase superfamily.
The GTP-binding Rab3 subfamily has four known isoforms: 3A, 3B, 3C, and 3D.
These proteins are highly expressed in brain and endocrine tissues and are involved in regulated exocytosis of hormones and neurotransmitters.
Rab3 proteins play a key role in presynaptic vesicle trafficking and priming.
