MA5-17088 targets HAS3 in FACS, IHC, indirect ELISA, and WB applications and shows reactivity with human samples.
The immunogen is a purified recombinant fragment of human HAS3 expressed in E. coli.
MA5-17088 detects HAS3, which has a predicted molecular weight of approximately 63 kDa.

Target Information

HAS1, HAS2, and HAS3 are hyaluronan synthase (HA synthase) proteins. HA (hyaluronan or hyaluronic acid) is a high molecular weight linear polysaccharide composed of alternating glucuronic acid and N-acetylglucosamine residues linked by β-1,3 and β-1,4 glycosidic bonds.
The three HAS genes exhibit distinct expression patterns during development and play different roles in HA matrix formation. HAS1 and HAS2 synthesize high molecular weight HA, whereas HAS3 produces lower molecular weight HA.
HAS3 is the most active isoform in adult tissues and regulates hyaluronan synthesis in the epidermis. IFN-γ upregulates HAS3 mRNA, while TGF-β downregulates its transcript levels. The human HAS3 gene maps to chromosome 16q22.1.
