Percent identity with other species by BLAST analysis:
Human, Gorilla, Gibbon, Monkey, Marmoset, Mouse, Rat, Bovine, Bat, Dog, Hamster, Panda, Horse, Pig, Guinea pig (100%); Opossum (90%); Elephant (85%); Pufferfish, Zebrafish (80%).
For IHC(P), use heat-induced antigen retrieval in pH 6.0 citrate buffer. After incubation with the primary antibody, slides were incubated with biotinylated secondary antibody, followed by alkaline phosphatase-streptavidin and chromogen.
Target Information
5-HT7 Receptor is a Serotonin Receptor involved in regulation of circadian rhythm and smooth-muscle relaxation in vasculature and GI tract. It has been implicated in depression, autism, and other neuropsychiatric disorders.
Three isoforms documented:
- Isoform a: 445 aa
- Isoform b: 432 aa
- Isoform d: 479 aa
Expression reported in aorta, brain, heart, placenta, small intestine, spleen, artery, and vessel. An EST has been isolated from a testis library.
